Today is a dark day, for authorities in Santa Barbara county have ruthlessly taken the lives of some 50,000 marijuana plants in the prime of their lives, some over six feet tall. No consideration was given for the families and friends of these peace loving weeds as authorities used machetes, chainsaws, and reportedly even a helicopter to massacre the defenseless plants as they stood rooted in terror. The AP has a writeup here in which they put the value of the plants at $160 million but really, who can put a price on a tragedy such as this?
