So, I am reading over international news today and I noticed the latest report on worldwide drug production and usage from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is out. Notable parts include this about Canada, (you know where its supposed to be _cooool_). From the article,
The 2007 World Drug Report by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime says that 16.8 per cent of Canadians aged 15 to 64 smoked marijuana or used another cannabis product in 2006. The world average is 3.8 per cent.
In the report, Canada ranks fifth in the world for marijuana use, behind Ghana at 21.5 per cent, Zambia, 17.7 per cent, and Papua New Guinea and Micronesia with 29 per cent each.

And other notables such as:
Cannabis herb seizures continue to be mainly concentrated in North America (66% of global seizures in
2005), followed by Africa (16%). Global seizures of
cannabis herb showed a strong increase over the 2000-
2004 period, a probable reflection of rising cannabis
herb production, trafficking and consumption. However,
in 2005, cannabis herb seizures declined substantially
to the levels reported back in 2000. The decline
was reported across all continents. Eradication played a
role but other factors are not yet fully known. Sustained
declines could also indicate a growing reliance on
domestically produced cannabis.
If that wasn't enough, dumbasses like these aren't helping us. A couple was arrested after sending 136lbs through FedEx, seems they haven't heard of the cops and feds coming disguised as delivery men.
According to authorities, on Thursday, July 5, a Federal Express truck driver loading his truck at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut allegedly smelled what he thought to be marijuana coming from two packages with the same Springfield address. A police dog at the airport also detected the substance and U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were contacted. ICE contacted State Police assigned to the Attorney General's Office and a search warrant was obtained to open the two packages. State Police found that the two packages contained approximately 58 pounds and 78 pounds of marijuana respectively, worth approximately $250,000. On Friday, a member of ICE dressed as a Federal Express driver delivered the package to the intended Springfield address of Robinson and Rouse and State Police arrested the couple after they signed for the packages.
Oh and of course everybody has an opinion, with most being idiots. There was the exception by hottie Transformer The Movie star [[Megan Fox]], when asked about drugs, was quoted as saying,
“tried several things” in order to “make an informed decision, but I didn’t enjoy anything other than marijuana.”, says Fox, “I don’t even think of it as a drug – it should be legalized.”
With a _so_ hot person like this talking, we should all listen. Too bad the police don't feel that way. They think were bad people and lazy slackers. I will admit to being a lazy slacker at times, but I have always worked, and earned a living. As well as the many other professional smokers I personally know that are in such professions as, Investment Banking, Bond Broker, Accountants, IT Pros, Lawyers, Coaches, Teachers, Factory Workers, and even Quik-E-Mart clerks. We all have the common ties of our bonds to the magical herb. Just too many police, military, and others intent on controlling others lives. This correlates to my own observations, the drug market is so saturated by law enforcement that the old saying "Well they aren't looking for pot.", can't even be followed by "Yet" anymore. Seems they are back on the potheads again. I do like that more people are likely growing their own bud, that makes the whole world better.
Here's a graphic illustrating the seizures.

Sucks that this is the state, but knowledge is power, educate someone else and you make it better on all of us. In fact, here read this yourself and study up and send everyone you know here:
